Dr. Robert Lane brings a distinctive combination of executive leadership, academic accomplishment, and evidence-based coaching expertise. Throughout his career, Dr. Lane has served in senior administrative roles including Fellowship Director, Division Chief, Department Chair, Associate Dean, Chief Medical Officer for a hospital system, and Executive Vice President. These leadership appointments have contributed to a comprehensive understanding of organizational governance, strategic advancement, and institutional development.

In parallel with his administrative leadership, Dr. Lane has maintained a continuous and well-funded research program for nearly three decades. Supported by multiple NIH grants, his scholarly work has produced more than 100 peer-reviewed publications. Dr. Lane has also served on and chaired NIH study sections, demonstrating national recognition for both scientific contributions and leadership within the research community.

A defining element of Dr. Lane’s professional journey is the intentional integration of leadership, research, and coaching. Rather than relying solely on professional tenure and experience, he pursued formal, structured coaching education through two accredited coaching organizations, CEC and Symbiosis, in alignment with International Coaching Federation (ICF) standards. This training included extensive coursework, supervised coaching engagements, and certification in Executive Coaching, Medical Leadership Coaching, Career Coaching, Culture Change, Organizational Development, and Change Leadership Coaching. Dr. Lane is also a Summit Certified Practitioner for PXT Select and Checkpoint 360 assessment methodologies.
